Nevada wildlife officials might restrict shed antler hunting

(Photo courtesy of Paul Fife) Shed elk antlers gathered in southern Utah are leaned against a tree. Utah wildlife officials have closed the entire state to antler gathering until April 1 because mule and deer elk are facing the toughest winter in years. The closure is needed to minimize stress to these animals as they fight for survival in deep snows blanketing the northern part of the state.
